The Viking Office Products brand has been operating in Australia since November 1993. Since then we have become the largest Direct Marketer of office supplies in the country, and are a leader in the Office Supply industry. We currently have two full service Distribution Centers, located in Sydney and Melbourne.

Our Viking website opened in August 2000, just prior to the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics. The site is based on our International platform, and offers our full assortment for overnight (or even same day) delivery to most of the country. Approximately 5% of all orders taken come through the site.

In May 2001 Office Depot acquired Sands & MacDougal, a regional Contract Stationer headquartered in Western Australia. In addition to providing contract operations for several hundred large customers in Western Australia, eight retail stores also provide supplies to smaller businesses and retail customers. Also, the existing Sands warehouse will allow Viking customers to get overnight, or same day delivery, much improved over the previous 4-5 day delivery time from our east coast warehouse.
