INROADS is unique! INROADS is a career development organization committed to developing and placing talented minority youth in business and industry, and preparing them for corporate and community leadership. No other organization offers this combination!

INROADS college internships combine three to four summers of work experience at a local client corporation with year-round academic instruction, training and guidance from INROADS staff professionals. Sponsoring organizations make a three-part investment with mentors, supervisors and liaison with INROADS, and provide financial support. The company pays an annual sponsorship fee to INROADS and the interns' summer salary.

The Office Depot/INROADS partnership began in 1997 with a total of 3 Office Depot INROADS interns. Corporate led this pilot effort with one local INROADS affiliate in South Florida. Today, Office Depot is a National Account with INROADS. To maintain this status, we must sponsor a minimum of 25 interns in multiple locations. We are also a charter member of INROADS' "Retail Academy." This new concept focuses on identifying and training students who have an interest in Retail Management. Office Depot has won numerous INROADS sponsored awards including Company of the Year, Business Coordinator of the Year, Mentor of the Year and Intern of the Year.
