If the quantity you are requesting is not available, the Add to Cart screen appears.  You should:

1. Make a selection from the available options.
   
   The Add to your Shopping Cart screen notifies you that the quantity you requested for the item is unavailable. In this example, 15 were ordered, 7 were available, and 8 can be place on back order*. Therefore, in this example, the options appear as follows:
   
   
   • I would like to order 7 and back order 8. Orders the quantity available plus the backorder quantity (see note below).
     
     
   • I would like to order 7. Orders only the quantity available.
     
     
   • I will select a different item. Removes the item from your order.
     
     
   
   
   
2. Select Continue to confirm your selection. The Add to Cart page reappears, showing the amount ordered and the amount back ordered, if any.

*Note: Of course, the quantities that appear for you will depend on the quantity ordered, quantity available, and quantity that can be back ordered (if your account is set up to allow back orders).
